Content Policy

Last updated:

PoseForTreats makes AI portraits of pets from photos you upload. This policy says what you can upload and create, how we check content, how to report a problem and what we do when the rules are broken. It is part of our Terms of Service.

1. What this policy covers

  • Photos you upload.
  • Portraits generated from them.
  • Example images and other content on our website.

You can't type your own prompts on PoseForTreats. Every style is written by us, so a portrait's content comes from our style plus your photo.

2. What you can upload

  • Photos of a pet that you took yourself or have the right to use.
  • One pet per photo is best; each portrait shows one pet.
  • No people clearly visible. A hand or arm holding your pet is fine; portraits only show the pet.
  • JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 10 MB each.

3. What is not allowed

You may not upload anything, or try to create anything, in these six categories:

  1. Sexual content and nudity. Pornographic, sexually explicit or suggestive material of any kind.
  2. Violence and gore. Graphic violence, injury or death, including cruelty to animals.
  3. Hate. Content that attacks or demeans people because of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation or similar traits, including hateful symbols.
  4. Content that endangers children. Any sexual content involving minors, or content that exploits or harms children. We have zero tolerance for this.
  5. Deepfakes and impersonation. Using photos of real people, or trying to make an image that impersonates a real person or misleads people about what really happened.
  6. Copyright and trademark infringement. Photos you don't have the right to use, or attempts to get other people's characters, logos, brands or artwork into a portrait.

Zero tolerance. As soon as we find any of the following, we close the account and, where the law requires, report it to the authorities:

  • child sexual abuse material or any sexual content involving minors;
  • content that promotes or supports terrorism, violent extremism or mass violence;
  • instructions for weapons that can cause mass harm;
  • content that calls for genocide or violence against groups of people;
  • sexual images of real people made or shared without their consent.

Also not allowed:

  • passing a portrait off as a real photograph of a real event, or as a hand-made painting, to mislead people;
  • harassing, threatening or embarrassing a real person with a portrait;
  • trying to get around our safety checks, limits or watermark;
  • using bots or scripts on the Service, or collecting images or data from it in bulk.

4. How we check content

  • Before generating: each photo you upload is checked automatically by an AI image model running on Cloudflare. It looks for three things: whether there's an animal, whether a person is the main subject, and whether the photo may break this policy. A rejected photo isn't saved and can't be used, and you aren't charged.
  • Before you see a portrait: each finished portrait is checked automatically. If it's blocked, it counts as failed and its credits go back to your balance.
  • The AI models' own filters: the AI models we use (made by Google, ByteDance and OpenAI, run through our provider KIE) have their own safety filters and may refuse a request.
  • Records: we keep a record of each check (the result, the time, the checking model and the photo or task number, but no images) for 12 months.
  • No public gallery: portraits are private to your account. There is no public feed or sharing link, so other people can't see your portraits on our site.
  • People: our team doesn't look at your photos or portraits. A person reviews every report you send us, along with anything you attach.

Automatic checks can make mistakes in both directions. If you think a photo was rejected by mistake, try a different photo or email us.

5. How to report a problem

Report anything on PoseForTreats that you think breaks this policy, for example:

  • an example image or other content on our website;
  • a portrait you believe was made from your photo, or a photo of you, without your permission;
  • anything involving the safety of children.

How: email support@posefortreats.com with "Report" in the subject, or use our contact form. Tell us what you saw, where and when, and include links or screenshots if you have them.

  • We don't tell the person you report who reported them.
  • Reports made in bad faith may lead to action against the reporter's account.
  • If you see sexual content involving a child anywhere online, also report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children at report.cybertip.org or to your local police.

6. What we do

Depending on how serious it is, we may:

  • block the photo or portrait (this happens automatically);
  • delete the content;
  • suspend or close the account, especially for serious or repeated violations; unused credits on an account closed for breaking this policy are not refunded;
  • report to law enforcement where the law requires it, for example child sexual abuse material.

Reports about children's safety are handled first.

7. Appeals

If you think we made a mistake, for example your account was suspended, email support@posefortreats.com with "Appeal" in the subject and tell us why. A person will look at it again and reply by email.

8. Changes and contact

We'll update this page when the policy changes and change the date at the top.
